This has been a week! You know those times when everything seems to go wrong at once? It was one of those. We made it through, but while working everything out and taking care of some new projects that I’m going to be working on for the next two months (which I will post about soon!), I didn’t gather much to share in this week’s I’m Loving. But I’ve been thinking about these two things all week, so I’m excited to share my small but mighty weekly list:
This post on Cup of Jo spoke to me so much this week! Joanna talked about how she and her husband have agreed that their family is done with two children, and she does believe that it is true, but she still feels sadness thinking of never having another baby. She calls it “The Ache,” which many women say never goes away. For me, it is the same. Steve and I agree that having two is perfect for us. But, against all reason, it makes me feel so sad! It’s so interesting because other women close to me don’t feel that longing at all when thinking about being done, so it was relieving in a way to read this article and to know that no matter how many children I’ve had, I would likely still have that feeling – and having more would not make it go away.
I downloaded the app Snapseed to edit photos on my Iphone and I love it. It has a lot of options for specific editing, and I really appreciate that it has a white balance feature. It also allows you to edit certain parts of a photo, like someone’s face, which is very helpful. I haven’t used every feature, (including any of the filters, although I have heard they are great) but I look forward to experimenting with it more.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! We are supposed to have summer temperatures in New York — this is why September is a beautiful month.
