It’s been a busy few months getting settled into the new house and I’ve been terrible at updating the blog, but I have so much to share and I’ve been missing it so much! I’ve still been on Pinterest and Instagram a ton, so follow me there for more frequent updates.
Here are just a few of the things that are inspiring me this week.
Built-in bookcases in unused spaces, like this one in a stairwell, are such a great combination of form and function. We are currently building bookcases around a large window in our living room, so every time I see a great built-in I pin it for reference immediately.
These built-ins around a wide doorway are gorgeous, and I love how the colorful books are the fun focal point of this otherwise neutral, elegant room.
The gorgeous color palette in this room and that stunning, ethereal wallpaper drew me in and the great details of the black painted windows and the perfectly curated furniture and lighting made me stop and stare.
Hydrangeas are one of the most luscious, luxurious additions to a garden. Our new house has so many and I am waiting anxiously for them to bloom this year!
This stunning room is the stuff of dreams.
We have a few parties and weddings to go to this summer and I’ve been loving the idea of mismatched suit separates for more casual events.
Summer is coming and elegant outdoor spaces are on my mind all the time. This gorgeous patio is a dream.
There is nothing better than an extravagant powder room. You can pack such a punch in a small space, especially with a wallpaper as gorgeous as this.
I’m loving unexpected layering, like this crisp shirtdress over jeans with fancy heels.
Skirted tables seem to be making a huge comeback and I’m in love with the look.
Isn’t this stairway gorgeous? The shallow steps and wide span have such simplicity and grandeur at the same time, I love it!
Kimono robe coats are so dramatic layered over casual looks, and I love the perfect mix of florals and stripes.
A crisp collared shirt and full skirt in all white with simple leather sandals is perfection. I dream of the day I can wear this outfit without sporting inevitable sticky hand prints all over it!
The resurgence of true traditionalism in design lately is really drawing me in. I love the rich layers of rooms like this – full of textiles and texture – with equally exquisite architecture, furniture and art.
When I see beautiful photos like this it makes me kind of sad that I won’t ever plan a wedding again! Wouldn’t a reception like this be a dream?
I love all the texture in this simple room, and the way the sleek metal of the table stands out against all the woven surfaces. It’s so comfortable and airy looking. Those chairs are amazing, aren’t they?
