There is nothing like months of house hunting to really hone your tastes. I love a house with a distinct style. Whether its a sprawling mid-century ranch, a beautiful old Victorian or a classic Colonial, I love when you can instantly tell what a house’s style is, especially when the distinguishing original features are intact.
One of my favorite types of houses is the straightforward, salt box style Colonial with 8 over 8 wooden windows. They look like they could have been standing for hundreds of years (as some have been!) and they bring to mind classic New England.
