We’ve been spending a lot of time prepping for projects around the house we plan to complete after our vacation this fall, so it’s been hard to find pretty project pictures to share! But here are a few photos I’ve snapped in the past few weeks, during these long summer days. It’s been so hot in New York lately! I really feel guilty complaining though, because it seems like summer didn’t actually start until July this year. Hopefully we have a warm autumn to make up for it.
G loves showing off his toothy smile these days. So in love with that little face!
I found this emerald green wool blazer at Goodwill a few years ago, and finally got around to changing the dark brown embossed faux leather buttons to pretty hammered gold ones last week.
Some delicious vegetables from the farmer’s market, in a big blue and white bowl I snagged at a garage sale.
Is there anything better than fresh beans in the summer?
A typical moment in my day, with our coonhound Leia and G using the furniture as a jungle gym.
I found the prettiest ochre silk maxi dress at a thrift store a few weeks ago. I plan to wear it to a very casual and small wedding reception for one of my good friends in a few weeks.
I swear, G instantly notices when I bring something new in the house and is usually occupied for at least 20 minutes figuring out how it works and/or climbing all over it. This week, it was this pretty little green suitcase that has yet to find its place in the house. For now, it’s G’s stepping stool to look out the landing window.
Hope you are all enjoying the sunny summer days! XoXo
