Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Instead of talking about my fiance (who I do love, oh so much!) or love in general, I wanted to share a trend I’ve been loving for a while. I wonder when you have to stop calling it a trend, because it’s been around for a few years now. I’m talking about retro-style swimsuits, and I’ve noticed that they have trickled down to the more affordable retailers like Topshop, Asos, and Urban Outfitters. These adorable cheeky styles are probably the only thing that can get me to think about putting a swimsuit on in the month of February, pasty legs and all!
Inspired by a first-season episode of Gossip Girl where Serena is wearing this bathing suit (was anyone that glamorous in high school? really?), I went on a retro swimsuit searching binge. And luckily the first suit below is almost exactly like the one from Gossip Girl…ordered! Here are the results of my online shopping:

These are so cute! I especially love the really nautical ones. Last year, I had an Etsy seller make one for me inspired by an old photo of Grace Kelly in a bathing suit. It was tailored to my measurements and totally affordable!
